Who Are We?

The Health Promotion Group is a group of professionals interested in improving the public health. The group was formed in 1997 by the Health Minister and current representatives include members of the Education Department, the Environmental Health Agency and the Gibraltar Health Authority to mention but a few.
The purpose of the group is to improve and provide a healthy community through enhancing public awareness, and due to the Government's commitment to Health Promotion this will enhance our aims. The group has continued to meet on a monthly basis throughout the year and has been the driving force behind most health promotion initiatives. However, the actual delivery of all campaigns, events and initiatives still continues to be shouldered by the sole Health Promotion Officer.
