Venue: The foyer of the ICC from 10am - 2pm
General: The aim of this article is to provide the smoker
and the non-smoker alike with information about the effects
of smoking, benefits in stopping, and tips on getting started
with the 'quit' procedure.
Format: The Health Promotion Group will be manning a stand.
Free literature and information will be at hand as well
as advice from health professionals and visual resources.

Diabetes
Awareness Day 2006
Date: Friday 29th or Sat 30th September 2006
Venue: Casemates Square from 10am – 2pm
General: The main thrust of this campaign is to target the
public who may be diabetic and not now it. To create awareness
about diabetes in the community is key to this event. A
leaflet will be produced for this event and to be used in
the future.
Format: A campaign with free literature at hand for the
public. Other professionals such as Optometrists, chiropodists,
doctors, diabetic Association will be on site of general
